THIRD GRADE NEWS


Here are this week’s notes and reminders:

 THANK YOU – On behalf of Mrs. Bell and myself, we would like to thank you for your child’s participation in the Advent Services last week. The program was wonderful and the kids did an awesome job with their songs and parts. Thank you for your support!
 CHRISTMAS GIFT EXCHANGE – Our class will be doing a gift exchange on Friday, December 18th for our class Christmas Party. Boys are to buy a gift for a boy and girls are to buy a gift for a girl. Please DO NOT spend more than $5.00 on a gift. Label your child’s gift as follows: TO: “A Boy” FROM: “(your child’s name)” or TO: “A Girl” FROM: “(your child’s name)”. Your child can bring in their gift starting 12/16. Those who do not bring a gift will not receive a gift. If you have any questions, please come see me. Thank you!!
 UPCOMING TESTS – We will have a Math Test this Friday (12/11) over our Multiplication facts 5-9. We are planning to have a test in Social Studies next Wednesday (12/16), over Chapter 4 and a test in Science over Chapter 4 next Thursday (12/17). Your child will be given study guides to help them prepare for these two tests. We will also be having a test in English next Friday (12/17) over Unit #2. Please help your child prepare for their tests. Thank you!!
 GRADE 13 COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM – Don’t forget…the applications for the Grade 13 College Scholarship Program are due on January 15th, 2010. That date will be sneaking up on you soon. If you have misplaced your application, the school office has extras.
 STATE REPORTS AND FLAGS – The class did a GREAT job on their state reports and flags last week. They will receive their reports back this week. The state flags will be displayed outside our hallway for a while. Your child will receive the flags back before Christmas Break.
 MEMORY – Memory for tomorrow will be Psalm 23:5-6. Next week your child will need to use their Bible for their Memory assignment. We will be doing the Old Testament Books of the Bible. They will need to know the Old Testament Books Genesis through Esther. Please have them practice reciting these to you. Thank you!!
 BOOK MARKS – Book marks are due this Friday. Your child should have 60 minutes or more for this week’s Book Mark.
